How many tickets can I purchase?

There is a six ticket limit per household.

Why am I only able to purchase 6 tickets?

In order to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to purchase tickets for HAMILTON, the production has limited the number of tickets any single patron may purchase. Patrons found in violations of this policy will have ALL of their tickets cancelled.

Where can I purchase tickets?

We encourage you to check hamilton.shnsf.com periodically should additional inventory become available. You may also check Vivid Seats , the SHN Orpheum Theatre Official Secondary Ticket Reseller. In a concerted effort to protect consumers, the producers of HAMILTON and SHN have decided that tickets will be mailed 45 days prior to the scheduled performance date, including Box Office purchases.

What is the running time for HAMILTON?

Running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a fifteen minute intermission.

Is there an age requirement?

HAMILTON is appropriate for ages 10+ since there is some strong language. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted in the theatre.

What are preview performances?

Previews are public performances of a show before the official press opening. They’re typically done for the company to get accustomed to the theatre.

Is the original Broadway cast performing in the tour?

What if I cannot attend my purchased performance because of scheduling conflict?

Unfortunately, since all sales are final, we are unable to offer refunds. Be sure to check the following information before completing your purchase: show title, day, date, time of performance, and number of tickets.

Will you be releasing more tickets once it sells out?

Any additional inventory will be released for sale if and when it becomes available.

Can I get on a waiting list for tickets?

Unfortunately, there is no waiting list for HAMTILON tickets. We encourage you to check back regularly, or visit Vivid Seats , the SHN Orpheum Theatre Official Secondary Ticket Reseller.

Is there a lottery or rush for HAMILTON?

Forty-four tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each.  Seat locations vary per performance; some seats will be located in the front row. The digital lottery will begin two days prior to each performance. Click here for more details.

Are there any discounts available?

There are no discounts for any tickets for HAMILTON.

Will there be Open Caption, Audio Vision and ASL performances?

Yes, there will be two performances of each.

Will there be tickets available for High School Students as part of the Hamilton Education Program?

Yes, The Gilder Lehrman Institute is proud to partner with HAMILTON and The Rockefeller Foundation to offer a limited number of tickets to 10th and 11th grade students from Bay Area High Schools as part of the Hamilton Education Program. Are there any Meet and Greet options with the cast?

No Meet and Greet tickets have been announced.

How will I receive my tickets?

In a concerted effort to protect consumers, the producers of HAMILTON and SHN have decided that tickets will be mailed 45 days prior to the scheduled performance date, including Box Office purchases.

What if my tickets don't come in the mail?

Tickets that have not been received, for any reason, including lost or stolen, will be held at Will Call under the original account-holder name, and may be picked up with a valid photo ID beginning two hours prior to curtain time on the performance date ONLY. No exceptions. If you require replacement tickets to be held at Will Call, please call 888-746-1799 or email tickets@shnsf.com.

What about third party vendors?

Tickets must be purchased through an official SHN ticket source such as www.hamilton.shnsf.com, SHN Audience Services, Vivid Seats or any other SHN sanctioned source. Otherwise, tickets may not be resold, transferred or distributed to any ticket broker or any other person for more than the printed price. If you have any questions, please call SHN Audience Services at 888-746-1799 before purchasing.

Does SHN mail tickets internationally?

SHN does not mail ticket orders internationally. All orders placed with an international mailing address will be held at will call for pick-up 2 hours prior to the scheduled performance.

Is there a coat check or storage area at the theatre?

A coat check or storage area is unavailable at any of our theatres. All bags will be inspected upon arrival. Luggage, shopping bags and other large packages that will not fit comfortably with you at your seat will not be checked or allowed inside the theatre. For your convenience, please make other arrangements for these items before arriving. There will be no refunds or other accommodations for these issues. Do not leave your personal bags (purses, backpacks) unattended while in the theatre.
